I am so, so grateful I had the opportunity to photograph Alexis & Tim’s Notre Dame wedding. Their wedding was only two months away when their original photographer (who I won’t name) backed out on them. Alexis was getting ready to start her bachelorette weekend when she heard the news. Her photographer’s family booked a vacation and they decided to take the vacation rather than be there for the wedding. I. Was. Shocked. When I heard.
I can’t imagine how stressful that must have been for them. Only two months away from their wedding and now they have to find a new photographer? Knowing that most photographers book a year in advance? Thankfully, their original photographer reached out to me before they broke the news. I met with Alexis and Tim right away and started planning with them. We clicked instantly! We laughed through our whole Zoom meeting!
Photographing their Notre Dame wedding was just the best! We laughed, we cried, we danced. You would’ve thought we spent the whole year getting to know each other. I truly believe it was a divine intervention when we met because we ended up having SO MUCH FUN together!
There were so many sweet moments throughout their day. When Alexis read Tim’s letter to her she immediately started crying. She chose to do a first look with her dad and two brothers. It was beautiful watching them see their daughter/sister as a bride for the first time.
When Tim cried as he watched his bride walk down the aisle tears welled up in my eyes. Alexis immediately started crying as well. I managed to photograph them through blurry tear-filled eyes. Finally, they were getting married. After all the work, stress, and headaches of wedding planning, it was their moment. And oh, it was so beautiful.
This first look with Alexis’ Dad and brothers was so sweet!
