Oh my goodness Alaina and Riley had me laughing throughout their ENTIRE sunset engagement session!! We had so much fun together I cannot WAIT for their wedding next summer. These two have the absolute sweetest smiles. I just love the way they look at each other. And don’t get me started on that gorgeous sunset glow. Seriously, so dreamy!

Alaina and Riley are long-distance for most of the year. So when the stars aligned and all three of us were in South Bend we knew we HAD to get together for their engagement session. I had just come off a week of photography camp where I got to teach Jr High students all about photography. I spent the whole day outside at my little brother-in-law’s high school graduation party. Then just as the sun was beginning to drop I met these two lovebirds for their sunset engagement session. After that it was a quick two-hour drive home, I backed up the files, and swiftly fell asleep. It was an exhausting, but beautiful week.

If you are planning your engagement session I always recommend sunset if we can! Sunset light is just too beautiful to pass up. I love the way it adds that extra glow to the background of your photos.

We had so much fun together we just HAD to get a selfie! One day iPhone photos will catch up to my mirrorless camera but for now, they’re still not the best quality 😉
