Cassidy & Sam: Southwest Michigan Wedding
I’ve been so excited for Cassidy and Sam’s Southwest Michigan wedding since the first Facebook message that Cassidy sent me asking if I was available on their wedding date. One, because I absolutely adore these two! These high school sweethearts are the cutest couple on my Instagram feed. Two, because their story of how they chose Oakland Drive Christian Church for their wedding venue was so sweet!
I first met Cassidy and Sam as campers at Michiana Christian Camp. CJ and I were there helping lead a weekend retreat for high schoolers. These two lovebirds were in my small group that weekend. The first thing I noticed about them was how inseparable they were. It didn’t matter where we went, all weekend if you saw Sam, you saw Cassidy right beside him.
Oakland Drive Cristian Church is a special place to Cassidy and her family. When the church was first built, Cassidy’s grandparents were the first couple to have their Southwest Michigan wedding there. Then when they added on to the building, Cassidy’s parents were the first couple to get married in the new addition. I bet you can see where I’m going! Recently, the church updated again and Cassidy and Sam got to be the first wedding in the new update. What a special tradition. I wonder who will be the first to get married there after the next update.
“Are we allowed to kiss?!”
As you all know by now, I love a first look! Cassidy and Sam’s first look was adorable. I absolutely LOVED Sam’s reaction to seeing Cassidy for the first time. The moment he saw her, his jaw hit the ground. They held each other tightly and Cassidy shouted out “Are we allowed to kiss?!” I love that I got to capture such a beautiful moment for them.
